With constant exposure to detergents and other chemicals used in car washes, having protective layers of paint on the walls and ceiling is imperative. Painters Inc. was called in for this Naperville Lexus dealership’s 1,000-square-foot car wash painting project, which took one week to complete. While the protective qualities of the paint were of extreme importance, the dealership also wanted a quality finish, which required great attention to detail.
The most challenging aspect of the project was the ceiling. We applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Dura-Plate 235 Multi-Purpose Epoxy Mill, which is especially formulated for marine and industrial environments. For the walls, we used Sherwin-Williams 800 Polysiloxane, which is a high-performance epoxy siloxane hybrid that combines the properties of epoxy and polyurethane.
