Painting of staircases, porches and balconies
Painters Inc. brought out multiple skill sets for this project involving a 40-unit townhouse complex, as it included removing heavily rusted metal staircases that required thorough cleaning and priming. The project also included replacing wooden stair boards that were damaged and needed to be replaced before painting. For long-lasting protection on the metal surfaces, we chose Sherwin-Williams Macropoxy 646 for its rust-inhibiting base coat qualities and selected Acrolon 218 as the top coat for its durable and UV-resistant properties.
On the wooden surfaces, we used Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck stain, which provides weather resistance and a natural wood look. This stain provides a clean finish that dramatically enhances the aesthetics of the wood and protects it for years to come.
Over the course of four weeks, we completed all 34 metal staircases, 15 porches, and 25 wood balconies.
