This apartment project involved painting interior stairwells and required careful attention to detail and top-quality products for multiple surface types. On the metal railings, we used a multi-surface acrylic paint from Sherwin-Williams. Switching to another top brand, we used Benjamin Moore’s Ultra Spec paint, which provided excellent, clean coverage on the stairwell walls.
We took a different approach for the floors and stairs, utilizing a Sherwin-Williams epoxy with decorative flakes to create a textured visual appeal. To ensure the coating holds up under heavy foot traffic and frequent cleaning, we applied a Rethane Clear topcoat from Sherwin-Williams, known for its chemical resistance.
We were able to achieve a cohesive, high-performance finish on all the different surface types within our allotted seven-day timeframe.
