Balconies and metal details painting for apartment building
In order to withstand moisture, metal on exterior structures requires a protective coating to prevent rust. Unfortunately, some painting projects come with a lot of rust that needs to be remedied before the actual painting can begin, which was the case with this Des Plaines condominium balcony project.
Following extensive power grinding, we applied special coatings on the metal surfaces, including Benjamin Moore Carboguard 890 Epoxy and a coat of Carboguard 635 Urethane. The project also entailed painting the iron railings and aluminum fascia on 48 balconies, as well as painting 50 patio wood door frames and three metal service doors with frames. Taking careful consideration of choosing the right paints for each surface is part of what made this project a complete success.
