Interior painting for warehouse loft areas
Warehouse lofts often consist of large surface areas that can take weeks to paint. Such was the case with this two story, 20,000 square foot commercial loft project. We painted ceilings, columns and walls using a variety of paint products. For the ceiling, we used full coat Zinsser cover stain and Sherwin-Williams CHB paint. For the walls, we chose a high-quality Benjamin Moore Ultraspec 500 paint. For the walls, the best option was Sherwin-William solid color stain.
The prep work going into the project is often just as important as applying the primer and paint itself. This loft project included beautiful wood floors, which had to be covered and protected so paint would not ruin them.
Lofts offer more space, higher ceilings and an industrial look, often including exposed beams and brick. Lofts are unique in many ways, but they are also difficult to decorate. For example, because the ceilings are so high, bigger ladders and other specialty equipment is required, which can be difficult to bring into the units. Part of the decorating challenge is to create a warm space, but without losing the industrial uniqueness.
